About Electronic and communication Engineering

The Electronic and communication Engineering Department is one of the core branches of VIEAT, Vidhyadeep University, located in Anita, Kim, Surat, and was established in 2011. The department is active in teaching and research in the areas of Power Electronics, Power Systems, Electrical Machines, and Control Systems.

Engineering and technology, especially electrical engineering, have the potential to address many social challenges. Electrical engineers play a crucial role in the development and application of new technologies. While power systems have long been a primary focus of the field, the emergence of power electronic devices has brought transformative changes, making power electronics a key enabler in modern power systems.

Our institute offers the best faculty in power systems, power electronics, and other electrical engineering domains. The department is supported by a team of experienced, dedicated, and highly qualified faculty members from reputed institutions.

Upon completing the Electronic and communication Engineering program, students will be equipped with the skills to design, analyze, adapt, troubleshoot, and install electrical systems. They will be prepared to pursue careers in diverse sectors such as energy, manufacturing, construction, telecommunications, IT networks, and intelligent building systems.

Dear Students,

Welcome to the Electrical Engineering Department at Vidhyadeep Institute of Engineering and Technology. Established in 2011, the department has been running the UG program since its inception and the PG program for the past two years. With a 15-year-long history of technical education, the department has made significant contributions to the field of electrical engineering. It is well-known that we cannot imagine the world without electricity, and today, modernized electrical devices have become an essential and inevitable part of our daily lives. The department's primary focus is to provide students with a strong academic foundation in the frontier areas of electrical engineering. The electrical engineers produced by this department have contributed to industrial development over the last 9 years at both national and international levels.

The department is also actively involved in organizing workshops and seminars to promote the growth and development of faculty and students' research knowledge. Our students are highly encouraged to implement their innovative research ideas with the guidance of expert faculty members and by utilizing the standard research lab facilities available within the department. Students are involved in various projects and participate in both national and international events.
